My Epic Fail - Cashmerette Fuller Cardigan

Image
Being a sewer allows me to chose patterns and make clothes that fit and look good on my silhouette.  Boy did I miss the mark on this one.  I won't do my normal post but will explain what I did wrong. Cashmerette Fuller Cardigan View B What Went Wrong I knew I was taking a bit of a risk with this pattern because this pattern is designed to hit at the natural waist.  Why was it a risk - I am short and round. Cashmerette Ellis Skirt #2

Image
I made this skirt before, so why did I have to redo the zipper 3 times and it's still not right?  I refused to redo it a 4th time.  I guess my brain checked out on this one. Ellis Skirt I won't do my normal post since I have already done that here .  Doctor says I have lost 7 lbs. (I can't tell) so no more skirt nirvana - i.e. waistband has some gapping in the back now. The fabric for the skirt is a cone mills s-gene mid weight stretch denim from Style Maker Fabrics and the fabric for the Pattern Emporium's Hello Gorgeous Puff Sleeve Tee is a bamboo/Spandex Jersey from Natures Fabrics. This will probably be my last make of this pattern - I have too many other patterns I need to get to. Here are pictures. Used Pocket Template from Closet Core Patterns
