I have made this Style Arc pattern multiple times and on most of them I added machine embroidery, but on this one I decided I would leave it plain.  The is a "not so great quality" denim I bought at my local craft store. Stacie Jean Jacket I made this jacket over 3 years ago and I believe I wore it once and absolutely hated it because it was so boring.  It hung in my closet and I decided it was time to put it in the give away pile until I saw the book Represent! Embroidery by Bianca Springer. Using this book, I decided I would give my jacket "new life".  If I screwed it up it didn't matter because I was planning to put the jacket in the give away pile.  I chose 4 designs to try.  I had no previous experience with hand embroidery and I didn't bother trying to practice or learn the stitches, I just jumped right in. OESD posted some new Laurel Burch designs and I had to have them.  I love the Laurel Burch designs because they are always so colorful.  I knew when I bought the designs a few months back that I would stitch at least one of them on this jacket (StyleArc Stacie Jean Jacket ). The design collection is called  Celestial by Laurel Burch and the design I used on the back is the Celestial Applique 1.  For the applique fabric I used their Luxe Sparkle Vinyl which is washable and ironable.  I don't remember how long it took to stitch out but it was hours.  I also put a couple designs on the front and sleeves.  I meant to use two different colors on the sleeves like I did on the front panels, but I forgot to change the thread.
