Another UFO completed 😄.  I started this one July 2024 and was forced to complete February 2025.  My niece is a huge Chiefs fan and she wanted something with the Chiefs logo embroidered on it.  She gave me an idea of what she wanted, I chose some patterns for her to review, and this is the one she chose. How I Did It This pattern was quite easy but I just lost my sewjo after starting it.   After she selected the pattern, I search some online fabric shops for fabric.  I ended up ordering from  Marcy Tilton  because she had a sale going on at the time. The coat was straight forward, but the embroidery was a different story.  Because I was working with a knit fabric, I initially decided I would make a patch and sew the patch on it rather than embroidering directly on the fabric.  Ultimately I chose to "chance" it.  I knew that if  I failed, I would owe her for the pattern, the cost to print it, and the fabric. I made this last year and am finally getting around to posting it.  This has become one of my favorite patterns - it is the 4th one I have made so far and yes I see more in my future. I made a size 22 without any adjustments out of this really nice heavy corduroy donated to me.  I wanted it roomy and ultra comfortable.  I love that I can wear a sweater under it without it restricting my movement. There were no immediate plans to make another Logan Shacket until I noticed this fabric in Hobby Lobby.  The funny thing is this is not really my color palette, but I was drawn this this fabric the moment I spotted it.  I couldn't walk away and I knew it would be perfect for the Logan Shacket. Logan Shacket On my second make of this pattern I wanted a quilted fabric and was floored by the cost of the fabrics I liked - about $40/yd.  I found some fabric left over from another project and decided to quilt it myself - it is still one of my favorite makes.  The fabric from Hobby Lobby cost $29.04 for 4 yards and I still have about 1 1/4yds left. OESD posted some new Laurel Burch designs and I had to have them.  I love the Laurel Burch designs because they are always so colorful.  I knew when I bought the designs a few months back that I would stitch at least one of them on this jacket (StyleArc Stacie Jean Jacket ). The design collection is called  Celestial by Laurel Burch and the design I used on the back is the Celestial Applique 1.  For the applique fabric I used their Luxe Sparkle Vinyl which is washable and ironable.  I don't remember how long it took to stitch out but it was hours.  I also put a couple designs on the front and sleeves.  I meant to use two different colors on the sleeves like I did on the front panels, but I forgot to change the thread.
