More Lekala 4650 Sparkle

I wanted to try this one again in a softer fabric. Lekala 4650 Lekala 4650 I won' t do my normal review since I have already reviewed it here . This time I chose a rich purple wool crepe (I think) which I bought from The Sewing Workshop .  I had an opportunity to visit the store and they have some gorgeous fabrics.  It was hard to contain myself.  I walked away with only 5 pieces of fabric.   As with the other jacket, I added some back darts for more shaping.  For the "buckle" I chose a beautiful button.  The jewels look black in my picture but they are really purple.  For the edge treatment I used a pearl crown thread. Button Used as Buckle Here are the other pictures.  I took multiples of the same position trying to capture the beautiful rich purple color in the right light.

I am Absolutely in Love with Lekala 4121

New year's sewing resolutions?  Nope, didn't fulfill last years.  I have been consistently sewing so I am pleased with that. Lekala 4121 Today I am thankful.  There are some people who have the gift of sewing (God given talent that happens naturally).  I don't have that gift but I am thankful that the Lord has given me the ability to do a fairly decent job of sewing.  It is pure joy when I can make something for someone that touches them deeply or when I make something that captures the essence of conversation or something that was done.  God's word says to give thanks in all things.  Thank you Lord for the ability to sew. After numerous days off and thinking I would get at least 5 or 6 garments made I finally managed to make 2.  I was busy resting and relaxing.
