Mood Sewciety The Hickory Ensemble - Perfect Lounge Wear

Image
Since I have made both pieces before here (top only) and here (top and pant) I won't do my normal post.  Everything is exactly the same except I shorten the pant only 2" this time.  The fabric is a contrast marble dye jersey french terry that I purchase from Style Maker Fabrics specifically for this pattern. The Hickory Ensemble Finished Pictures Conclusion I love this free pattern - it is absolutely perfect for loungewear.  It is roomy and comfortable.

Since I have already posted both of these items here ( tunic ) and here ( pant ) I will not do my normal posting.  Only fabric, adjustments, and pictures.  I love both of these patterns because they are comfortable and make great lounge wear. Style Arc Brooklyn Knit Pant Style Arc Jara Knit Tunic Fabric The pant fabric is a stretch cotton sateen that I bought from Fabric Mart sometime ago.  I recently bought fabric for both tunics.  The peach and periwinkle are both jersey french terry that I bought from Style Maker Fabrics. Adjustments I shortened the pant 2". I shortened both the length and sleeve 3" and added 3" to the hip area. Finish Pictures Conclusion I always forget about directional fabric.  This fabric has letters and number and I took great care to ensure everything was right side up.  I was so proud I had gotten it right this time.  As I was editing the pictures I realized the band was upside down 😀.  Had I reverse the band it would have been correct.  Will

Oh the comfort.  An elastic waistband band pant is my best friend right now 😊. Fabric This is a french terry tie dye purchased from my local JoAnn's.  It's soft, has lots of drape, and feels wonderful against my skin.  The ribbed knit is a performance ribbed knit (heavier).  It was the only ribbed knit they had that would match my fabric. Pattern Adjustments (pant) Lowered the front rise 1" Raised the back rise 1" Shortened the length 3" - next time I will only shorten 2" because you double roll the hem 1/2" then 1".  I single ro
