Logan Shacket Version 3 By StyleARC

There were no immediate plans to make another Logan Shacket until I noticed this fabric in Hobby Lobby.  The funny thing is this is not really my color palette, but I was drawn this this fabric the moment I spotted it.  I couldn't walk away and I knew it would be perfect for the Logan Shacket. Logan Shacket On my second make of this pattern I wanted a quilted fabric and was floored by the cost of the fabrics I liked - about $40/yd.  I found some fabric left over from another project and decided to quilt it myself - it is still one of my favorite makes.  The fabric from Hobby Lobby cost $29.04 for 4 yards and I still have about 1 1/4yds left. I won't do my normal post because I have done it here - Version 1 and here - Version 2 .  This version is a size 22 because I wanted room to wear bulky sweaters underneath and I wanted a longer length.  The only adjustment I made was to shorten the sleeve length 3". I got the alignment of the strips on the front correct and almost pe

Y'all it was the sleeves that captured my attention and I knew I had to have it.  I have more patterns than I can count waiting to be sewn and have had some for years, but that didn't stop me from buying another 😂. Be Mine Balloon Sleeve Top Not only do I love the sleeves, but there are a lot of  options given and you can do so many things with this top.  This is now a favorite pattern for me.  How I Did It I am doing good using my fabric stash, but I have to admit it has been really hard not salivating and ordering when I get the emails about new fabric.   I got this fabric some years back at an estate sale for a $1/yd and I believe there was 8 yards on the bolt.  I have made 2 tops with this fabric and still have some left. Fabric Cotton gauze from the stash Pattern Adjustments  I cut a 20 and graded out to a 24 at the bottom edge I shortened the sleeve 1" I shortened the bodice 1" above and below the waist (total of 2") For the next version, I will only short

I was given the opportunity to be part of the testing group for this pattern. When I signed up I had never sewn a pattern from this company before (have the Isle Jeans pattern but had not sewn them yet). What I loved about this testing was - it wasn't a "blind" test meaning I was shown a line drawing before I agreed to be a tester and I love that. I have participated in other pattern company test groups but you never saw the pattern until you agreed to test it. Aria Top View A High Back w/Bias I have to say I really enjoyed this pattern test. There was a private Facebook group set up for the testers and everyone was super supportive including the pattern company. How I Did It  I did not buy new fabric for this project.  This fabric was bought to make a different pattern, but in my effort to pair down my fabric stash I chose to use it.  I have had the fabric in my stash for 2 years and I bought it on clearance - yay for me.  I have to celebrate the small wins when i
