StyleArt Barb's Stretch Pant - Take Two and Three
This is take two and three for StyleArc's Barb's Stretch Pant pattern. Since my adjustments were already made with the first pair - it took about 2 hours to make a pair.
Since I have already reviewed this pattern here, I will only make note of differences and additional information not included with the first review.
What a difference fabric makes - both pair came from fabric in my stash (yay) . The beige pair was a thin stretch chino but what I did not realized was it did not have enough stretch and it took me about 3 hours trying to get the waistband attached properly (attaching and removing multiple times). Now I know I need to use a solid stretch fabric.
The one adjustment I removed was the 1" removal of width from the waistband. Below are pictures of the finished pants.
In the meantime, I have found some stretch twill that will work to do a muslin.

How I Did It
In the first review I did not show how I connected the elastic. I accidentally deleted the beginning picture that shows the two cut ends of the elastic butted against one another on top of a scrap of fabric. I did a zig zag stitch in the middle of the butted ends to attached them to each other. What a difference fabric makes - both pair came from fabric in my stash (yay) . Conclusion
I love this pattern which is why I made 3 pair of pants from it, but 3 is enough. I have more patterns I want to try. What's Next
I am ignoring my fear and starting on my Ames jeans. I recently purchased some Cone Mills Denim but it doesn't have any stretch - now I have to buy more.In the meantime, I have found some stretch twill that will work to do a muslin.
